Cinnamon Apple Baked Oats
I love oats, they are so versatile and a source of gut-lovin’ fibre to help keep our hormones in balance and support our immune system. Oats are a source of beta-glucans which have been shown to increase the population of beneficial bacteria and stimulate the production of the cells of immune system which attack foreign invaders known as macrophages. Something we all need a bit of support with right now.
Serves 2
Ingredients
80g oats
50g stewed apple or 1 banana
1/4 cup nut butter
2 tsp milled flax
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp maca powder (optional)
200ml milk
1 tbsp chia seeds
Method
Combine all together in a blended and blitz
Put ingredients into a small baking dish
Bake in the oven @ 180 for 30mins
Enjoy warm topped with yoghurt/kefir and mixed berries
*Stores well in the fridge too for a quick breakfast the next day
